Cameroon's Water Utility sector undergoes a transformative shift with Camwater's groundbreaking initiative to improve billing efficiency and minimize losses.The implementation of this innovative system,aims to tackle the substantial water losses where the rate of unbilled water stood at 47% just two years ago,according to the company authorities . President Paul Biya is determined to improve access to drinking water for Cameroonians .Last August ,2024 the Minister of Water and Energy Gaston Eloundou Essomba , announced a special support of 10 billion cfa francs to Camwater by the President of the Republic,to carry out urgent works on the distribution network.According to Gaston Eloundou Essomba, the Drinking water supply project for Yaounde and its environs ,is expected to end the drinking water deficit in Yaounde and other cities and towns.
