Held under the theme " Feast and Delight" , this event gathered More than 100 exhibitors from all works of life to celebrate sugary delights. The event provided a plateforme for Cameroon to promote it's premium Cocoa and showcase its expertise in pastry and chocolate production while highlighting the country's capabilities in cocoa transformation.The Cameroonian pastry industry was represented by key actors such as Cyrille Wandji Djako, promoter of the pastry "Main d'ange ". According to the latest report on Cameroon's economic competitiveness published by the Competitiveness Committee, Cameroon made a significant progress in the cocoa sector in 2023.Cameroon ranked as the 4th largest cocoa-exporting country in the world in 2023 , with 7,6% of the global market share, this ranking marks a gain of 2 places compared to the previous year , according to the National institute of statistics. This positive outcome is attributed to a 12,7% increase in cocoa exports compared to 2022 . The country exported 180,095 metric tons of raw Cocoa beans, 55445 tons less than in 2022 , generating over 359 billion Cfa Francs . This figures represent a 12 ,9% year-on-year increase in export revenue and accounts for 12% of Cameroon's total export earning in 2023.
