This bill represent a 70% increase compared to the total financing volume disbursed in 2023 which stood at 58,95 billion Cfa Francs. According to the institution report, the disbursed financing volume consists of 46,5% of funds allocated for reducing outstanding payment , 13,1% of the credit contract in favour of the Republic of Cameroon and 5,5% of short-term loans to Sonara regarding oil imports.Agriculture projects accounted for 4% of these disbursements, totalling approximately 42,8 billion, road projects are the main expenditure posts with 89,96 billion cfa francs, followed by energy with 59,4 billion.For drinking water supply projects, Cameroon has mobilized 57, 24 billion since the beginning of the year.The amount disbursed by funding agencies has increased by 70% compared to the previous year,but unfortunately,these investment are not fully materialized .The country is preparing to contract and disburse more funds for development projects , which will further burden the public debt. Indeed since the beginning of the year, public debt has increased by 7%.
