East Region : Ampel- Lomie-Zoulabot II Road Rehabilitation Works Are On Progress.

The 12km-ling road in the Haut-Nyong Division of the East region is remarkable on ground with a completion rate of 63% .The tasks already carried out include feeling of trees, purging of 600m3 in marshy areas, cleansing 87,400cm of ditches and earth outlets , mechanical clearing over 273,735m2, repairing 16.07m2 of wooden decking and filling in purge zones with a volume of 1,440m3. The work project estimated at 216 ,241,628 cfa funded by the Ministry of Public Work (Public investment budget ) is executed by the company FIPCAM S.A . Given that the principal activity and the main source of revenue of the East region is Agricultural, these ongoing project is aimed at improving the transportation network of Agricultural products from the target zones to other localities of the East region in particular and to the rest of the country in general. This project will also improve the comfort of road users and their safety , to a more bigger extend the rehabilitation roads will improve transboarding commerce with neighbouring countries like The Central African Republic and Congo. This initiative falls within the policy of nation wide road reconstruction and rehabilitation project initiated by the government aimed at ammeliorating the living conditions of citizens country wide . The Ampel- Lomie-Zoulabot 2 rehabilitation road project adds to the many other projects ongoing in others communities. To remind that the Fond Routier has injected more than CFA 7billion in the road maintenance of communities of the East , an action that demonstrates the strong determination of the government of Cameroon to materialise the Head of State President Paul Biya vision of emergency horizon 2030.
