This Inaugural event organized by the Mfou commune in partnership with OYILI, under the theme "Local economy at the benefit of the community and national unity" , seeks to foster business connections and innovation among key players in the field of agriculture , entrepreneurship , investment , cultural promotion and tourism. This cultural and traditional event, offers a perfect setting to foster the growth of household essentials amidst inflation. As of 2024 ,there has been a noticeable surge in prices of staples goods in the local markets. This festival is a meeting point for import-substitution and the promotion of Made in Cameroon, aligning with the government's efforts to prioritize domestic production and reduce the country's substantial import bill which exceeds More than 300 billion Cfa Francs annually. Over 300 attendees are expected to gather for this Inaugural edition, a unique cultural and economic event that will also serves as a premier showcase for business networking and experience sharing enabling stakeholders from various sectors to promote and sell their expertise , craftsmanship directly , fostering local economic and social partnerships.
