CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC (CAR) : Launches The 2024- 2028 National Development Plan.

This landmark document represents the nation's inaugural meduum-term plan , building upon the Central African Republic's peace consolidation and recovery plan , executed in collaboration with international community.

After months of development, the Central African Republic's National Development Strategy has received official approval from the country's President.The Country is pinning it's hopes on the new plan , to bridge the enormous gaps in various economic sectors including budget framing and timing. The first axis of this new development plan , focuses on strengthening security and developing solid institutions, with a budget of over 500 billion Cfa Francs. Axis 2 ,with financing needs amounting to 2096 billion Cfa Francs, represents 27.3% of the investment budget, aimed at promoting human capital development and ensuring equitable access to quality basic social services for populations in educational, health, sanitation, and social protection. Axis 3 , focuses on developing resilient and sustainable infrastructure to support economic and social growth,with an allocation of 2400  billion CFa Francs, representing 31,3% of the national development plan's total amount.Axis 4 , requires an investment of 1800 billion CFa Francs , accounting for 23,4% of the overall budget, aiming to boost economy and foster the emergency of a middle class. Axis 5 focuses on environmental sustainability and resilience against crises and climate change, with an allocation of 598 billion CFa Francs. The total amount of the 2024-2028 National Development Strategy in CAR is estimated at more than 700 billion Cfa Francs.The financing allocation for these strategies is divided as follows: The government 20% , private sector 30% that is 1400 million Cfa Francs and 2112 million Cfa Francs respectively.The authorities are seeking 50% of funding from the International community through donations and loan agreements .
