The statistic has revealed that morethan 1200 patient on dialysis country wide benefits from the Universal Health Coverage,this programme has permitted to reduce considerably the prices that was homologated for dialysis that is the price moved from CFA 520000 at only CFA 15000 CFA per year offering offering to patients access to regular care and a financial uplift.Instructed since 2015 by the Head of States and officially launched in 2023 , Universal Health Coverage programme aims at facilitating health access to the population and protect them against financial health risk. Access to health in Cameroon remains a challenge to many Cameroonians especially those in vulnerable communities and rural areas. For the year 2024 the government aims at boosting its effort to make sure that Universal Health Coverage programme reaches to every individual with the objectives of doubling the numbers of patients suffering from any problems related to dialysis to be enrolled and benefits from the numerous advantages Universal Health Coverage offers to those on dialysis country wide aimed at reducing the number of deaths and improve the health conditions of citizens in Cameroon as recommended by the Head of State President Paul Biya.
