Africa is projected to create 3, 3million new green jobs by 2030 , particularly in sectors like transportation, energy, construction, agricultural.According to the report titled Forecasting Green Jobs In Africa, these sectors have been hand-picked by experts for their ripeness and potential in Africa. The report predicts approximately 2 million direct jobs opportunities in energy and electricity by 2030 .As many as 700,000 jobs may be added in agriculture and nature sectors ahead of projections .The report highlights promising prospects for five African nations: South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The report stresses that , to unlock green jobs opportunities, African countries need to raise over $ 100 billion in annual funding. This funding will support skills development, Infrastructural expansion, the creation of pro-business environment to mitigate investment uncertainty.
