Under the supervision of Nigeria, Kenya , Ghana , Africa had played an important role in the discussion on the terms of reference that will guide future negotiations. This reference documents answers to the expectations of many countries notably African countries seeking a negotiation framework deemed more inclusive than the one proposed by the organisation of cooperative and economic development. This new milestone achieved by the United Nations proves that a transparent and democratic approach can be better and more effective in addressing global issues. This breakthrough is one of the long-standing demands of the African Union which has been advocating for a reform of the international financial architecture with a focus on improving domestic resources mobilised by states at the institutional level .
