Entreneurship: Cameroon Institute Financial Aid To Approximately 90,000 Young Entrepreneur Nation-wide.

This programme support the informal sector that is referred to as subsistence entrepreneur,that works in urbans areas due to lack of other opportunities.The initiative aimed at supporting the poor and vulnerable young people aged 18 to 35 as part of the adaptive social safety net and economic inclusion project,a government initiatives partly financed by a world Bank loan.This five-year programme that targets  90,000 youths across 33 municipalities country-wide will be funded for 65000 beneficiaries by the World Bank and 20,000 the government ,that will enable the participants to recieve adequate training in life skills and basic management that will enable them to develop activities worth income -generating   .As emphasize by the Minister of SMEs,this programme aims at adding complementary support to young entrepreneurs who have already initiated a micro,small and medium business that will   recieve each an envelope of cfa 275 000 distributed in two installements that is cfa 175 000 first ,then followed by CFA 100,000.AIE programme officially launched in December 2023 benefits from a World Bank loan of cfa 92.752billion for 217,500 beneficiary household from 2023 to 2028 and state funding of cfa 54billion for 138,500 beneficiary households from 2023 to 2025 totalling cfa 146.752billion. This year official launching will proceed by the online registration ,followed by the biometric verification to enforce the identification the candidates under the supervision concluded by local NGOs.The World Bank salute this initiative that will benefit 356,000 households receiving transfers in 180 municipalities across the region.The WB regard this programme as an important step towards establishing a social safety net in Cameroon,contributing to poverty reduction and the promotion of economic inclusion by supporting young entrepreneurs.
