To this effect the new Divisional officer of the Adamawa Region Valéry Norbert Kuela has carried out a visit in the site of the hybrid project, hydro and solar of Bini à Warak on August 6 ,2024 with the objectives of touching to ground the positive level advancements of the projects to reassure the population and all the stakeholders. What was initially a project of construction of a Hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 75MW is henceforth a power plant at the same time Hydroelectric and solar according to the Savannah Energy,a British enterprise henceforth incharge of the materialisation of the project .The 75MW project capacity has upgraded to 95MW ,including a solar photovoltaic power plant that shall generate 35MW energy that will enable the delivery of the 1st Mega watt additional to the network interconnected North (RIN).This innovation was adopted after a study led by the enterprise in charge of the projects in April 2023.The start of the project work is scheduled for this year and should be achieved by 2027-2028 . The total amount of the project is estimated at 300million Dollars that is approximately CFA 179billion . Cameroon aims at boosting its energy capacity by 5000MW at horizon 2030 with the aim of satisfying the demand of the population, rendering Cameroon a country exporter of electricity in the Cemac Sub-region.The Bini à Warak project fall within the policy of National Development Strategy goal Initiated by the Head of State PR Paul Biya .
