According to a communiquer of the International Financial Institution, the french merchant shall receive by September 2024 an amount of approximately CFA 131,2 billion from des international financial institution.This initiative by Sucden relies on the fact that Ivory Coast faces difficulties in satisfying international demands due to a drop of approximately 30% of its production during the 2023-2024 cocoa Campaign, this low level in production is attributed to climatic conditions. The tricoloured firm aimed at developing its operations in Cameroon, Nigeria and Ghana and to make this possible, Sucden had secured a loan of approximately CFA 60.4billion from the World Bank with the aim of financing the exportation of cocoa through its network of cooperatives and vendors installed in Cameroon, Nigeria and Ghana.With regards to Cameroon, Sucden comme in, in a context whereby the price of kilogrammes of cocoa has increased by 6.2% that is 6000f/kg homologated by the Minister of Trade Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana taking into account the quality and value of Cameroonian Cocoa. Sucden plans to develop its operation in the Cameroonians cocoa sector will add to the number of companies such as Telcar Cocoa, Ofi cam already active in the sector.
