Urban development: Minhdu - European Investment Bank Construction Project Of Bypass In Yaounde

This project was at the center of an exchange between Celestine Ketcha Courtes, Cameroon's Minister of Housing and Urban Development and an important delegation led by Mr Nikolaos Milianitis ,head of the Central Africa regional representation of the European Investment Bank aimed at putting in a place mechanism for the effective start of the project end 2024.

The exchanges allowed both parties to appreciate the level of preparation and to come into contact with the numerous projects for the transformation of the town of Yaounde but also throw a look  on the project that will take place on 4 sections: Sec T1 Mbankomo - Nkolmeyang worth 36km , Sec T2 Nkolmeyang -Nkozoa 22km, Sec T3 Nkozoa -Minkoameyos ( Yaounde -Douala high way 23km) and Sec T4 Minkoameyos - Mbankomo worth 9km.This initiaves falls inlign with the objectives of durable development put inplace by the Cameroonian government.In detail the work will comprise of 16 intersection,3bridges, 1 scupper, 13 high crossing and 1 low level crossing.The total amount estimated for this comes up at cfa 794 billion ,divided  between cfa 706billion for the materialisation of the projects and cfa 88billion for the compensation and resettlement . Concerning the urban development of the 4 poles : the South, West, North and East aroundYaounde Bypass corridors ,the cost is estimated at cfa 470billion . Overall this project will facilitate the dynanism of regional economy for different sectors of activities, improve the living condition of the country and facilitate the transportation of goods.
