The joint report notes that Separatist combatants have steadily intensified their assaults on civilians as the conflict has prolonged.According to Global Initiative,separatist groups' violence against humanity has intensified throughout the conflicts,by 2020 , they were targeting civilians at an equivalent rate to state forces , making them the greatest danger to local unarmed populations.From zero civilian casualties in 2017 to over 300 in 2023 . Overall, the escalating violence against civilians by Anglophone Separatist groups indicates that the security of local populations in the 2 Anglophone regions are increasingly precious.By mid-2023 , more than 638000 people had been displaced within the county , primarily in the anglophone regions, with an estimated 15000 requiring humanitarian aid . According to the two organizations mentioned above, government forces are also accused of causing civilian casualties in the war against anglophone Separatist, using disproportionate force in response to protests, Since the beginning of the crisis in 2017.
