The cargo includes more than 10 RTG cranes, 2 reach stackers for containers and 3 empty container handlers. As stated in the release, these new acquisitions will complement the equipment received last September 2024. The newly acquired equipment is part of phase 2 of the kribi port construction project, valued at 400 billion Cfa Francs. Phase 2 emcompasses a 7,5 meter quay wall, a 6,'75 meter protective breakwater, extensive storage and warehousing facilities spanning 30 hectares of land, an aluminium terminal , an oil terminal as well as the acquisition of modern handling equipment .The kribi port development project is 75% financed through a Chinese loan , according to Port Officials.
