Public Infrastructures: CFA 1839 Billion Allocated For Road Infrastructures Development In 2025.

On Monday, October 14, 2024 ,The Minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, presided over a meeting to discuss the 2025 budget priorities.

The main objective of the meeting was to examine financial projections for road and highway infrastructure projects for the 2025-2027 timeframe. The government has allocated a significant budget of 1839 billion Cfa Francs for the implementation of road and highway infrastructure projects for the upcoming period. As per budget forecast, projects due for completion in 2024 will only require financial transactions in 2025 ,these road projects include: Awae -Esse-Soa , Ntui-Ndjole ,Ndjole -Mankim , Mankim-Meteing and the Communal road Tsaptsap-Megang ,Betchenga-Ntui -Yoko-Lena -Tibati, Ekong-Biyebe , Akonolinga -Yil, Babadjou-Bamenda,Mbalmayo-Sangmelima etc . The following projects will commence in the fourth quarter of 2024 : Yaounde -Douala highway phase 2, Batouri -Ngoura, Guidjiba-Tapare , Magada-Guidiguis and Guidiguis -Yagoua etc. These road and highway projects align with the SND 30 National Development Plan,which seeks to enhance the free circulation of goods and passengers, streamline transportation and trade with bordering countries, foster national economic growth and enhance the quality of life for citizens.
