The standardization activities were conducted within the framework of the Livestock and Acquaculture Value Chain Development . Since its inception in 2021, the project has been designed to foster competitiveness, improve livelihoods for stakeholders and stimulate job creation. The adoption of these standards , applicable to various activities in the pork ,beef and fisheries industries, seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Cameroonian products both domestically and internationally. The project estimated at Cfa 75 billion , receives Cfa 55 billion in funding from the African Development According to experts, fish and livestock products will undergo rigorous monitoring from production to consumption, including marketing . This implies that the entire process must comply with standards that prescribe hygiene conditions among others.
