The Ministry of Public Works sought financial backing from the African Development Bank in a letter dated September,16,2024 , for a 400km road project in Cameroon's East region . Cameroon seeks to secure financing of 158,8 billion fcfa for the bitumen coating of Ngoura II-Yokadouma section and 200 billion fcfa for the bitumen coating of Yokadouma-Moloundou section ,extending to Kika at the Congo Brazaville border.                                                                          This project's expenses could have been cut by almost 20 billion fcfa, had it not been for the need to build a bridge spanning the kadey river , 

Linking Epi to Mobésso village.As per the project's technical file , the construction works are expected to take 3 years to complete. According to the Ministry of Public Works, the bitumen coating of the Ngoura -Yokadouma-Moloundou-Kika section, will improve agriculture and forestry production while contributing to the fight against poverty and stimulate economic development in the region. This project will facilitate the transportation of mining , forestry and derivative products from surrounding areas and adjacent border regions such as Chad , Congo and the Central African Republic .
