According to this report on the external trade between Cameroon and South Africa,out of these Importation 29% represents the amount spends on the purchase of vehicles that is 22% for the acquisition of transport vehicles (trucks) for an amount of cfa 10 billion and 7% for the purchase of tourist vehicle amounting at cfa 3.2 billion . The dynamism observed through the Importation of these goods , has permitted the country to President Cyril Ramaphosa to joint the lists of African countries suppliers of Cameroon in 2023 behind Ivory coast and Morocco that controls the Cameroonians market at 16% and 10% respectively and has also enable South African automotive industry to carve out a nich in the Cameroonian market largely dominated by vehicles from Europe and Asia according to the National institute of statistics. To remind that, South Africa sold cfa 46 billion of goods to Cameroon in 2023 an increase of approximately 2% compared to the CFA 44.5billion sold to Cameroon in 2022 .This increase demonstrate the interest of South African products in the Cameroonian market despite economic fluctuation ,Also On July 9 to 10 , 2024 a South African trade delegation , tourism and investment concluded a two- day mission in yaounde during the Cameroon -south Africa Business Forum which was aimed at promoting South African companies expertise and stimulate more and more Cameroon's consumer interest on products" made in south Africa" to build up more commercial exchanges and benefits between both countries and interests more South African investors to explore new investment opportunities in Cameroon.
