The Firm Somaf and Afronet international sarl has been chosen by the Ministry of Public Health to put into maturation this projects financed by a loan taken out from the Islamic Bank of Development within 24 months. According to official statistics, Cameroon's annual needs are estimated at 400,000Blood bags for the whole country and according to the blood transfusion center blood donation has reduced at approximately 20% resulting to a low respond to satisfy all the demands to save life life.The amount allocated for the construction of a blood transfusion center in Yaounde is approximately at Cfa 2,6Billion while that of Garoua will amount cfa 2.1billion.This two initiatives are parts of the projects to strengthen the national blood transfusion system in Cameroon and ensuring the implementation of the national guidelines on Blood Transfusion at Regional level.The Blood Transfusion centers in Yaounde and Garoua will permit to assist Billion of people: Pregnant women,Road accident person and anemia person.The amount allocated for the maturation of these projects will not only permit the construction of the said centers but to another extend contributing for the purchase of High-Tech equipment and necessary to test blood in the country and to ensure the availability of enough Blood bags capable of satisfying demands in the chosen localities: Yaounde and Garoua .
