External Trade: Cameroon's Trade Deficit With India Worsens By CFA 254 Billion In 2023.
Dernière mise à jours il y'a 3 moisAccording to statistics published on August 19,2024 by the National Institute of Statistics, reveals that the amount of exportation from Cameroon to India has decreased in 2023 that resulted to a deficit of cfa 254 billion.

The Nation Institute of Statistics indicate a deficit of approximately morethan 30% compared to the trade balance between the two countries in 2022. Revenues generated by Cameroon in its commercial exchange with India comes directly from products such as Mining 98.3% , Natural liquidity Gaz 49.9% and raw oil 48.4% . Due to this deficit in the commercial balance between Cameroon and India, has placed India as the 3rd customer of Cameroon in 2023 with 9.6% of market share . Regarding Importation, India hold 11.6% of Cameroons market in 2023 thereby occupying the 2nd position directly behind China and Infront of France. The principal products imported from India to Cameroon according to the National institute of statistics include Rice rate at 18.6% , Jet fuel 9.3% , gasol 33.1% , drugs 6.1% and sea food 2.8% . The reports from INS indicates that the export income towards India has reduced by CFA 41.9% billion, passing from CFA 493 billion in 2022 to CFA 286 billion in 2023 . Cameroon's trade deficit with India in 2023 can be attributed to factors such as climatic conditions, the fluctuation of prices in the markets.
