According to experts, tourism is a booming sector in Cameroon expected to generate up to 145 billion Cfa Francs in revenue by the end of 2024 and nearly approximately 250 Billion Cfa Francs by 2029.It is estimated that over 1 million tourists visit the country annually, but if challenges such as  delay in visa issuance, delay in file processing , lack of infrastructure, security concerns due to instability in the Anglophone regions and the Far-North of the country, are effectively addressed, this number could double. The Cameronian government is taking measures such as facilitating visa issuance, reducing the timeframe in file processing and reinforcing the level of security,to strengthen the country's tourist attractiveness by optimizing online visa Significantly, Cameroon's tourism industry and related occupations provide employment opportunities for atleast 2% of the country's population, encompassing both men and women. This is why the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure is seeking to improve this sector, which can contribute to the country's economic development.
