The working visit took place on the sidelines of the 2nd session of the joint committee meeting of the economic partnership agreement between Cameroon and the United Kingdom, with the aim of better understanding of Cameroon's foreign trade procedures and operational measures for successful implementation of Trade agreement notably Economic Partnership Agreement and the African continental free trade area. During the visits, the authorities of the Cameroon's National Shipper Council put ahead principal challenges interms of commercial relationships and the flow of goods between the two countries in the frame of the Economic partnership agreement and across Africa in the frame of the African free continental area going further to explain the different initiatives taken by the CNSC to promote external trade and boost Cameoonian exportation in order to get the most out of these agreements, to materialise this initiative the CNSC has put inplace facilitating tools such as business information gateway , the organisation of workshops to reinforce the capacities of Cameroon's Shippers , development of infrastructures  to facilitate transboarding commerce. To remind that the value of trade commercial exchange between Cameroon and the United Kingdom has reached 1Billion Pound Sterling in 2023 approximately CFA 773 billion , this information was made known during the general assembly of the chamber of commerce between Uk and Cameroon which took place on June 26 ,2024 in Douala . This figures represent an increase in the commercial exchange between both countries, in detail : the level of exportation from Cameroon to United Kingdom has reached 958 million Pound Sterling while the other hand the Importation of goods from United Kingdom to Cameroon has decreased establishing it self at 71million pound sterling . According to the National institute of statistics, in reference to the note on the external trade of Cameroon, The United Kingdom occupied the 9th position of countries suppliers to Cameroon with an exchange value of CFA 109,3 billion . While according to the British officials, Cameroon has decreased from one place in 2023 , establishing itself at the 90th commercial patners of the United Kingdom. The  working visite ended by a visit at the Captaincy of the Douala port , the Littoral ICustom ,the Container Terminal Management and the Single window ( GUCE).
