Cameroon - World Bank: Launches A New Partnership Framework 2025-2029.

On August 19,2024 , the Cameroon's Minister of Economy Alamine Ousmane Mey has held an important meeting with Abdoul Salam Bello Administrator for Cameroon within the World Bank Group, with the objectives of putting in place a new partnership framework for the peroid 2025 -2029.

This strategic partnership aims at supporting the ambitions of development in Cameroon that falls within the policy of national development 2020-2030 that is the creation of numerous and descent jobs in particular for youths thereby contributing in ammeliorating the living conditions of citizens and preserve social cohesion , and boosting the effectiveness and inclusiveness of public services . To remind that this new partnership between Cameroon and the world Bank has been recently approved unanimously by the board of directors of the world Bank. In addition the meeting between Alamine Ousmane Mey and Abdoul Salam Bello was to raise the question relative to the development agenda of the world Bank that is the advancement and the perspective of the process of the ongoing reconstitution of counter resources (IDA) and the initiative of electrification of Africa launched in April 2024 by the world Bank in partnership with the African Bank of Development, an initiative that aims at ammeliorating the access of electricity to more than 300 million africans in 2030.
