The plant is set to begin operations in 2025. This initiative, launching local tyres manufacturing, relies on rubber produced by the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) , promoting natural resource development .In addition to creating jobs for more than thousands young people, the Tiko tyre factory will stimulate local production, promote economic development and address the current trade deficit.According to the National Institute of Statistics, Cameroon imported approximately 23164 tonnes of new tyres in 2022 at a cost of 32,6 billion Cfa Francs . Overall, this project aims to reduce the enormous amount of money spent by Cameroon on tyre imports
