Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority: Settle Claims For Those Affected By Ngaoundere Airport Expansion.

The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) is proceeding between August 18 - 24 ,2024 the second phase of indemnity of 249 residents expropriated from their land in airport neighborhood located in Ngaoundere 2 .

The quarters concerns are Mbidjoro and Selbe Darang which have been classified since July 2022 as public domain of the State.This initiative is part of a comprehensive project to enhance security at Cameroonian airports initiated in 2018 with the objectives of guarantee aviation security by freeing up illegal occupied areas around the airport and securing aeronautical equipments.The Amount of 110 567 392 cfa will permit to pay those concerns especially those who took part in the process of registration and identification .To remind that,  the first phase of this programme of indemnity has already been provided in October 2023 with an amount of cfa 139 519 577 distributed to victimes.
