Cameroon-Chad : The On-going Bridge Construction Project Between Yagoua and Bongor Is Foreseen To Be Operational Very Soon.

The project foreseen to be operational very soon can be attributed to the positive level at which the work is advancing .To remind that,the materialisation of this ongoing project was thanks to the joint efforts of the government of Cameroon and its technical and financial partners : the African Bank of Development has allocated an envelope of 40million Euro whereby an estimated amount of 20.785million Euro has been allocated to Cameroon and the remaining amount of 19,215 was allocated to Chad . The precedent working visits of the Minister of Public has permitted to touch to ground the level of advancement of the projects which accord to the Minister , although the outbreak of the COVID -19 pandemic , the project is demonstrating a 95% level of advancement on the Cameroonian side .In detail , according to the Ministry of Public Work , the clearing is complete and the general earthworks have been executed at 50% ,regarding the pile casting 12 out of 12 have been drilled and cast . Razel and Scotcogog which are the firm incharge of the project, alongside with more than 300 people are working on the construction site from day one to deliver the project that have for objective to reinforce free movement and circulation of goods and people between the two state (Camerooon-Chad ) , to reduce traveling costs and time, to boost regional integration,to ammeliorate transport condition and the security of users,to boost commercial exchange between the two countries and reinforce the resilience of Neighbouring flood-prone areas in the face of climate change.
