Held under the theme " Business from the heart of Africa, Cameroon", this Inaugural edition will provide an opportunity to initiate business contacts and forge partnerships between Africa and European entrepreneurs, encourage trade exchanges , develop mutually beneficial partnerships , discover investment opportunities and strengthen cooperation ties among various communities. As noted by Deputy Louis Henri Ngantcha , Chairman of the Diaspora Decentralized and Transborder Cooperation Network, Cameroon's diaspora is diverse, possessing a wide range of skills and expertise crucial for the country's development. Their impact extends beyond economics to intellectual contributions in education, research and more. Cameroon's diaspora is acknowledged by the government as a crucial stakeholder in realizing the goals of the National Development Strategy 2020-2030. Based on statistics, in 2023 morethan 102 000 Cameroonian immigrants were recorded in France. Economic analysts point out that, diaspora remittances constitute a significant source of financial support for countless families across Cameroon. These transfers particularly support the most vulnerable layers of the society, contributing to an improvement in their standard of living. Remarkably, diaspora remittances have shown remarkable stability even in times of economic turmoil in host nations, exhibiting lower volatility compared to foreign direct investments.Statistics for 2022 indicates that, diaspora remittances reached 365 million Cfa Francs , a 5% surge compared to the previous year. These figures represent a significant economic resource that Cameroon can leverage as a development catalyst. This event represents a one-time chance to tap into cameroon's economic potential and energize relations between the nation and its Diaspora, shining a spotlight on the country's vast potential.
