The 12 month road project to begin  in August 2024, involves the the construction of  a 1x2 lane road each 3.5 meters wide with a reference speed of  60km/h ,59 cross - drainage structures ,13 bridges of various lengths totaling 260 meters.The Minister of  public work has signed a commercial contract with the Italian firm SEAS in charge of materialising this project expected to improve the quality of life for the local population by facilitating access to essential services, Increase cross border Trade , support agricultural product transportation and boost Commerce and economic growth between Cameroon and Gabon . This commercial agreement also takes into consideration the technical control and geotechnic, the construction of an automatic tool gate ,a weighing station and a counting station.This amount allocated by the Cameroonian government for the start of the first phase of the Olounou - oveng Gabon border corridor project comes up after a request from the Minister of public work Emmanuel Nganou Njoumessi on may 8 2024 for a derogatory procedure to secure this funding that represents the state portion of advance payment to the contractor.
