Held under the theme" Diaspora and Decentralised cooperation for resilient and durable Urban and rural areas ",the principal objective of the 1st edition of this forum that brought together administrative authorities of the town of Bafoussam , traditional authorities , actors in the sector of Economy ,and brilliant minds from diverse sector of activities ,is to creat  a plateform of dialogue and reflection on new strategies to be implemented for the economic development of the town of Bafoussam .The aim of this forum is to present the economic opportunities found in the town of Bafoussam with the aim of boosting and developping more economic rentable activities for community interest.According to the Governor of the West Region ". Our mission is to develop the town of Bafoussam and neighbouring localities to guarantees investment and economic development at horizon 2030 to the benefit of all the value chains " .The forum equally aimed at opening doors to finance and promote entreneurship, invention and Start-ups of youths of the region by creating a link between actors of different stakeholders to reach the objectives fixed and it lay emphasizes on the implications of local communities in the process of decision -making with the aim of guarantee that the projects answeres to the actual need of the population.As the theme of this 1st edition of the Bafoussam Business Forum emphasis, the objectives was to encourage the population in the diaspora to participate in decisions making and assist financially the process of local economic and social development of our communities .Overall the Bafoussam Business Forum aims at implementing the policy of decentralisation that aims at improving local good governance at the level of communities and ensure the wellbeing of the population as prescribed by the Head of State PR Paul Biya.
