According to the INS , this figures represents the worst performance recorded by Cameroonian products bound Russia since 2013.The document indicates that Exportation from Cameron to Russia has never reach CFA 2 billion during the period 2013-2021 ,after a record of CFA 74,853 billion registered in 2022 the exportation rate has significantly decrease. On the opposite side, Importation of goods from Russia to Cameroon have equally witnessed a recession passing from CFA 121,8 billion in 2022 to CFA 33, 6billion in 2023 that is a step back of approximately CFA 88,2 billion . It is worth noting that wheat was the principal product imported from Russia to Cameroon, according to the National institute of statistics , Russia was the 3rd supplier of wheat to Cameroon behind France and Poland in 2023 same as in 2022 with 94600 tons of wheat imported for an amount of CFA 20, 5Billion.However the significant drop in production importation from Russia to Cameroon has resulted to the disappearance of Russia from the list of supplier countries to Cameroon in 2023 , it should be noted that Russia was amongst the top 10 of supplier countries of Cameroon with 2.5% of market share. This drop in exportation from Cameroon to Russia and Vice versa can be attributed to the war in Russia , Despite this context , the commercial exchange between both countries in 2024 has mostly disadvantage Cameroon.
