According to figures released by the Directorate General of Customs, Cameroon exported 6276 tonnes of cocoa beans between July and September 2024 , generating revenues of 12,5 billion Cfa Francs. In terms of volume, Cameroon's export volume decreased by 71% with a shortfall of 15448 tonnes , compared to 21724 tonnes in 2023.Additionally , a 10,4 billion Cfa Francs decrease in value was observed.According to the 2023 report on Cameroon's foreign trade by the National institute of statistics, Cameroon exported 180095 tonnes , less than in 2022 generating approximately 359 billion cfa francs. This figure represents a 12% increase in annual export revenues.At the official launch of the 2024 -2025 Cocoa campaign in August, the Minister of Trade Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, urged all cocoa industry stakeholders to continue their efforts to improve quality and boost Cameroonian cocoa production.The Cameroonian government, projects to increase the production rate of cocoa by 2025 to satisfy local demands and increase its export rate. In 2023 , Cameroon ranked among the top 10 globally in Cocoa paste exports securing 7,6% of the global market share, driven by enhanced local production capacity .
