During the event  chaired by the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey, 2 key documents were unveiled during this meeting: The CEMAC Economic Barometer, which presents an updated analysis of the regional economic situation, ongoing reforms, and levers to stimulate growth, private investment, and employment in the sub-region, and the 2025 Cameroon Economic Report, entitled "Cameroon's Green Gold: Valuing Forests and Natural Capital.  This document proposes an innovative approach to national wealth, integrating the value of natural heritage. These reports provide an assessment of Cameroon's economic performance and make recommendations to consolidate our progress towards development objectives.According to the documents , Cameroon's economic growth stood at 3.5% in 2024, driven in particular by the good performance of the agricultural sector : cocoa, cotton and energy. GDP per capita reached $1,467, exceeding pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels. Inflation, meanwhile, fell from 7.4% to 4.5%, thanks to monetary austerity measures, price controls, and a decline in imported inflation. It is essential for the Cameroonian economy to capitalize on the richness of its land and subsoil, particularly the forestry sector, by equipping itself with the necessary tools for sustainable management of these resources. It is worth noting that these documents  come at a time when Cameroon is halfway through the implementation of its National Development Strategy 2020-2030 (SND30)
