Pursuant to article 19 of the public procurement code, the contract, awarded on August 26, 2024 , has obtained the approval of the Presidency of the Republic for the negotiated award of the said contract.The road infrastructure comprises: A principal dual carriageway with central median stretching 3,900 meters, 2 urban boulevards and several commercial facilities. The Chinese company CFHEC will finance the 2 year project works , which amount to 41,4 billion Cfa Francs including all taxes . It's worth noting that, the Chinese company CFHEC has been actively involved in various road construction and infrastructure projects in Cameroon for several years.Notable projects include : The Douala-Yaounde highway , with its second phase recently launched , valued at approximately 800 billion Cfa Francs, The Awae -Esse - Soa road  construction project , awarded earlier this year, which a total cost of over 34,275 billion Cfa Francs , and the construction of a brige and access roads over the Nyong River in Malombo (Cental Region ) valued at over 7 billion cfa francs.
