Air Transport : The Central African Republic Reaches A New Milestone With The Construction Of New Airport In Bangui.

This was during the commissioning ceremony of the new air traffic control tower at Bangui-M'poko international airport at the agency for the security of air traffic navigation in Africa that held in presence of the President of the Central African Republic PR Faustin Archange Touadera. During this ceremony it was indicated that the new air transport infrastructure will be financed by the Emirati Business man Youssef Ahmed. The development of this airport infrastructure entails the creation of a regional cargo free trade area,the establishment and operations of an integrated management system for Central African air activities.According to the Central African Republic government, this project expected to be completed by 2026 is a great step in the economic programme in the sector of the aviation industry.The Head of State of the Central African Republic, aims at making Bangui an aerial hub within the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa.The objectives of this initiative was concluded on January 18,2024 between the Central African Republic and the Emirati Business man Youssef Ahmed intends to provide this country of the Cemac zone with a New and modern international airport at the international standards that will contribute at increasing air traffic and trade with a direct air connection with the creation of a hub cargo . Roughly the project integrate the construction of a space dedicated to air cargos, a newly constructed run way , a cold room , administrative offices .The others aspects of this initiative project the construction of 5 hotels at international standard , a modern medical center opened the public and the construction of a Regional center for the aviation industry profession . The overall amount allocated for this projects is estimated at CFA 120.3billion .
